Dewayne Beamon (21-4-3, 15KO’s) is looking to put this weekend behind him as quickly as possible, Beamon the former multidivisional UBF world champion was scheduled to take on Pablo Carrillo (27-8-2, 17KO’s) in a highly anticipated rematch for the UBF Super Flyweight world title along with the WBC Continental Americas. The match was cancelled due to immigration officials preventing Beamon to compete in due to an expired passport. Carrillo went on to face last minute replacement Rober Barrera at Coliseo Elias Chegwin, in Barranquilla. After 12 rounds a split decision was announced with the judges awarding the victory to Carrillo. Word coming from the Beamon camp is the rematch will happen in mid September.
