Junior Pati making his Cruiserweight debut on July 8th against Lance Bryant for Bryant’s NZNBF Cruiserweight and vacant UBF Asia Pacific Cruiserweight titles.Disclosure: circumstances have changed since this article has released.

Pati has not fought under 90 kgs since he was an amateur boxer, with that in mind allot of people doubt Pati can reach the Crusierweight level, especially since Pati fights at 110 kgs. Pati is setting out to prove all the doubter wrong, going strict diets and going to the gym on a daily bases. Already Pati being seen at Hardknocks 3, he looks like he is in his mid 90 kgs, losing 30 + kgs for his fight in July.

As for the Champion, Bryant has just came off a win over Isileli Fa, while defending his NZNBF title in May. Originally Bryant was scheduled to defend his title against James Langton which Bryant promised. Unfortunately Langton received an injury during training. Bryant who now holds three titles (NZNBF, WBF Oceania, IBO Asia Pacific) is now on a 5 win streak.

Next week Promoter Mal Siaosi of Multitrade Boxing will be holding a press conference to show Junior Pati’s official weight 2 weeks before fight night. NZNBF will be sanctioning this official weigh in to prove to everyone that Pati is well on his way to making weight for the title fight. This Press Conference will also be recorded by Combat TV.

The event itself originally had 4 scheduled pro bouts, however now it’s down to 3. Caroline Daniels was originally going to make her debut  on this card, however due to pull outs from Cheyenne Whaanga (Knee injury) and Nailini Helu (Illness), Daniels bout had to be cancelled.

Skope Siaosi, the son of the promoters, will also be making his debut after having a successful 12 bout corporate career. Skope also had a pull out as his original opponent Zane McNab Controversially retired before making his in Ring Return.

Skope will now be making his Pro debut against Fijian Born New Zealander, Aafeen Deen. This will be a 75 kg Catchweight bout.

The final pro to be mention will be Jerome Pascua vs Rob Ramsey. Pascua debut in French Polynesia losing by UD against Vatea Bossuet in 2014. Since than Pascua disappear, however he made a shocking in ring return this year, winning against Joshua Hatherley by SD. This big upset too everyone by surprise, but they ended up fighting again on Joseph Parker World Title defence undercard. Pascua took the rematch on less than 48 hours notice with the result being the same, Pascua SD win, However allot of people believed Pascua won all 4 rounds. Pascua will be going up against the unknown Rob Ramsey, who has only fought once in his career against Micky Cee aka Mike Cunningham, with Ramsey losing the bout by UD.

So big question is Will Junior Pati Make weight on July 8th

Lance Bryant vs Junior Pati for the vacant UBF Asia Pacific and NZNBF Crusierweight titles.
